HP Slate 2 Tablet PC
Almost out of the PC business, then changed his mind last week, Hewlett-Packard has proven to be more interested in eating a piece of the tablet market with the launch of Windows 7-based Slate 2
The device sports a 8.9 inch capacitive multi-touch, an Intel Atom Z670 CPU, 32 GB of storage and a 3-megapixel rear camera and front VGA camera for video calls.
If all this sounds familiar, you're right, the device is simply an upgrade of small business focused on Slate 500, which was launched in October 2010 with the addition of HP technology Swype entry easier the text.
Both the board probably will not make a big wave in the market, Windows 7 has never been a great operating system for tablets, which is visible from the market share of Windows-based devices minute tablet market.
Now, HP is openly committed to its future Windows 8 tablet platform, we are much more interested in devices based on the operating system. We have to wait and see, though, as the final version of Windows 8 is expected next year.
HP Slate 2 starts at $ 699 and should be available worldwide this month.
